How we verify

What we promise

Every camp listing on School's Out! is reviewed before it goes public. Every school calendar entry has a source we can point to. If something's wrong, tell us and we'll fix it within 2 business days.

How verification actually works

We use an AI assistant (Claude) to research camps and parse school calendar PDFs. Then a human reviews the results before anything goes live. The AI is faster than a human; the human catches what the AI gets wrong. Both are necessary.

Where the data comes from

• Camps: Each camp's own website is the primary source. We capture the URL we pulled the data from. You can see it on every camp's detail page.
• School calendars: Miami-Dade County Public Schools — directly from the district's published PDF. Private schools — directly from each school's own PDF or website.
• What we don't verify: Sitter quality (we link to Care.com — they do their own background checks). Cruise pricing (it changes daily). Anything labeled "External" on our site.

Re-verification schedule

Every camp gets re-checked every 90 days. If a camp's website goes down or their hours change, we update the listing or flag it.
