Children’s Online Privacy Protection (COPPA)
School’s Out! is a service for Miami parents. We do NOT collect information from children under 13 (or any age, anywhere in the account flow).
- Accounts are for parents and camp operators only.
- Children’s names and ages, when entered for personalization, are stored only on the parent’s own device (browser localStorage). We never receive, store, or transmit that information to our servers.
- We do not market to children.
- We do not share, sell, or rent any personal data.
- We comply with FTC COPPA requirements (16 CFR Part 312) and the 2025 amendments.
If you have a question about our COPPA stance, email privacy@schoolsout.net.
What we collect from accounts
Parents and camp operators provide an email address when they sign up. Camp operators may additionally submit business information about their camp (name, address, phone, hours, ages served, website). That is the entire account dataset.
Analytics
We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any third-party tracker. We log page paths and rough traffic patterns (path, referrer, user agent, coarse IP hash that rotates daily) so we can see which pages help parents most. No cookies are set for tracking. We never sell data to anyone, ever.
Signup confirmation
Signup forms display: "Accounts are for parents and camp operators only. By signing up you confirm you are 18 or older."
Data retention
We keep account data for as long as the account is active. Email noah@schoolsout.net to delete your account; deletion is honored within 7 days.
