How do you pick which camps to list?

Every camp is manually reviewed. We check the website, confirm the ages and location, and only list operators running real programs in the neighborhoods we cover.

Does School's Out! take a cut of camp bookings?

No. We're a directory, not a broker. Parents book directly on the camp's website. Camp operators keep 100% of every booking.

Will my family data be shared?

No. Kid data stays on your device per our COPPA-aligned design. The only data we store on our server is the email you give us for closure reminders — and you can unsubscribe any time.

What if my kid's school isn't listed?

Use the city request form. Tell us the city (and your email) and we'll email you the moment we add your school or expand coverage.

What pricing works for a one-day TPD camp in Miami?

$50-90/day is the typical Miami-Dade range. $75 is a common middle-of-market price point. Bundle discounts (book 4 of 6 TPDs in advance, save 10%) work well for repeat families.

Teacher Planning Day camps: the underused recurring revenue opportunity

Six Teacher Planning Days per school year. About 250-300 Miami-Dade schools observe each one. Conservatively, 5,000-8,000 elementary-age kids in Miami-Dade are home from school on each TPD. M-DCPS publishes Teacher Planning Days as part of the academic-year calendar. Why most operators miss this

Three reasons: (1) the dates are not on most operators' marketing calendars because they shift year to year; (2) one-day programming feels low-leverage relative to a full week of summer; (3) parents only realize they need childcare 2-3 weeks before each TPD, so the marketing window is short and feels expensive to advertise into.
